“90210” actress AnnaLynne McCord was among five under-25-year-old stars who were honored in Los Angeles over the weekend for their charity work.
The third annual Variety Power of Youth event was held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday. McCord was honored along with “High School Musical” actor Corbin Bleu, singer Jesse McCartney, “iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove, and “True Jackson” star Keke Palmer.
McCord (who plays Naomi Clark on “90210″) is the goodwill ambassador for The Blind Project, a nonprofit organization which works to raise awareness and improve the quality of life for sex-trafficking victims, The Associated Press (AP) reported. McCord said she wished more young stars in Hollywood were involved.
“There’s a lot of twentysomethings who are enjoying their twenties, and that’s great,” McCord told the AP. “But when you’re privileged like we are as entertainers to make the money that we make and have the notoriety that we have, I think you owe it to the world to give back.”
The Power of Youth initiative focuses on encouraging top young talent to become involved with philanthropic and humanitarian causes, using their positions in popular culture to motivate others to do the same, according to the organization’s web site. For more details, click here.
McCord’s “90210” castmate, Jessica Stroup (Erin “Silver” Silver), as well as dozens of other young celebrities, including actors from “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “The Wizards of Waverly Place,” “Fame,” and “The Twilight Saga” series, were also in attendance, according to the AP. The outdoor block party was held on the New York street set at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
“90210″ airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. (ET) on the CW network.

I’d love to see where I would be able to get ahold of the writer of this website? I tried searching for an email, but wasn’t able to find one. Does anybody know?
